Conkers Activity Centre
Conkers is full of great activities to enjoy in all weathers, a combination of outdoor and indoor activities makes conkers a unique attraction in Derbyshire. Activities include; barefoot walks, the Conkerchoo, high and low ropes, 4D cinema, the enchanted forest and paint a pot.
Enjoy the great outdoors at Conkers, there’s 120 acres of woodland, lakes and ponds to explore with a huge selection of wildlife occupying the land. Explore the warrens below ground, a trail of tunnels for all ages to investigate and enjoy. Take a ride on the Conkerchoo train and travel in style between the discovery and waterside centres. The barefoot walk is a great way to get in touch with nature, walk barefoot in the mud, coal, pebbles and grass, children love the feeling of mud oozing between their toes.
Take on the activity trail challenge and tackle a number of obstacles spread out over several acres of the woodland. Packed full of adventure this trial is only suitable for over 5’s. Children love to let off steam on the Adventure Play area, an outdoor play area packed with slides, climbing areas and fun.
Conkers offers experience days for families or groups of friends and even corporate groups. Choose from a list of activities to experience including: Archery, Bush Craft, High Ropes, Kata Canoeing, mountain biking and more. Instructors are fully qualified and have all of the safety equipment needed to ensure you have a great day and stay safe. Explore the forest without taking on the British weather, the indoor Enchanted Forest Play Zone is a fun interactive experience for children. Rope walkways and the interactive forest floor transform this indoor woodland experience into a great adventure for children of all ages. In the discovery zone children can learn about the British woodland with over 100 interactive exhibits.
Conkers run events throughout the year for all ages to get involved in, events for children include seasonal events in school holidays and the Winter Wonderland, a magical Christmas event that sells-out quickly, tickets for this event are released in August.
