The exact origins of the Childwall Abbey Hotel remain a mystery but the commonly held belief is that the original Abbey building dates as far back as the Doomsday Book. The building has been sympathetically restored and now offers seven comfortable bedrooms. The heart and soul of the hotel remains the pub itself, serving traditional food all day which can be enjoyed in the beautifully restored abbey building or outside in the patio area or beer garden. A stay at the Childwall Abbey Hotel offers a unique experience - from the rumoured haunting of a 15th Century ghost to the tap room which hosted The Beatles in their former incarnation as The Quarrymen. Our recently refurbished function room with stunning chandeliers is suitable for a variety of uses, including meetings, presentations and seminars.
