The County of Devon is a county of extremes, from the rugged dramatic coastline to the North to the rolling green fields further inland. The counties offer many opportunities for exploring, with historic towns full of antique shops and tea rooms, to peaceful walks and cycle rides through the unspoilt countryside.

Cullompton houses the Waterloo Cross and offers a relaxed unspoilt town base close to the more lively coastal resorts and other large tourist towns.

Or stay at the Half Moon in the medieval town of Sherborne, worth a visit in itself with two castles and the superb Abbey Church.

If you are looking for something more remote, the Fisherman’s Cot offers beautiful surroundings on the river Exe and is the perfect retreat if you are looking to escape into the Devonshire countryside.
